I blamed my rheumatoid arthritis for the pain tingling, triggering and swelling in my hands that was getting worse over years. I was referred to Dr. Reilly and was surprised to hear that my joints had minimal involvement. He said that problems were from tendons and carpal tunnel restricted in the covering sheaths. Dr Reilly did outpatient surgery on my right hand fingers first.The five incisions to repair the extensive problems were small and surprisingly not severely painful (level3-4). I was referred to PT. The OT who saw me for abut 6 weeks of therapy was an amazing person who helped me through strengthing and scar reduction. I wore a brace at night. I have had great result and was able to resume playing golf a few weeks after surgery. About six month later, my left hand pointer finger and both wrists were done TOGETHER with great results. Tingling was gone immediately and pain level 1. In retrospect, I would have done ALL repairs at once instead of two separate surgeries.
