I met Dr. Monteith after a 3 day hospital stay. I was referred to him because of a brain tumor that had just been found. Dr. Monteith was very kind, friendly and patient with all of my questions. He did not rush out of the room to see the next patient. He answered all of my questions with the information that I would need to make an informed decision about my tumor and treatment with up to the minute medical guidance. Dr. Monteith assured me of his abilities in shrinking a tumor like mine, and also about the state of the art technology at Swedish. In all, Dr. Monteith put me at ease (as much as possible) about my care and his treatment for my situation. I chose Dr. Monteith to be my doctor over other Neurosurgeons partially due to his likability and his reputation as a top Neurosurgeon In the Seattle area.

I appreciate this provider has accepted me as his patient. I have experienced bad doctors in the past and I don't need that. I hope to hear him say that I don't need to be seen so.frequently which will be a sign that my health has improved a lot.
