I saw Dr. Kamp in my twenties. He was the first psychiatrist I had ever worked with. He diagnosed me with depression. The doctors I have seen since him have diagnosed me with bipolar disorder, which I believe is the correct diagnosis. He prescribed me Effexor, which made me shaky, nervous, and manic. Additionally I lost 25 pounds in 3 months and began suffering from severe insomnia. I reported these symptoms to him, yet he saw no reason to take me off of the Effexor.
