“Good to know a doctor who take time to listen and understand”
I have been to many MANY doctors who rush me out the door after 15 minutes of talking. They are busy working on the computer and dont even look at me and then the visit is over and I have nothing to show for it. I have wasted too many hours with doctor visits that didnt get me any benefit. Dr. Silva spent 2 hours with me on the first visit and I decided to go forward with his recommendations. I am doing better every day and I wish I had started here instead of getting the run around for a few years with doctors who dont have time for me.

“Finally headache free!”
I've been suffering from migraine-like headaches, neck pain, and shoulder pain ever since getting rear-ended in a car accident in 2013. When I have one of these headaches, I can't see, I forget words and can't form thoughts normally, I get severely nauseated, and I literally can't function. Over the years I've seen several chiropractors, an endocrinologist, and a neurologist to try to figure out why I'm having all of these strange and quite frankly, scary headache episodes. I decided to see Dr. Silva for my neck and shoulder pain, not headaches initially. After looking at my MRI and talking to me more about my other symptoms, he determined that I was experiencing cervicogenic headaches. He treated my neck with PRP and my headaches and my neck and shoulder pain resolved!! Truly a miracle to me, and astonishing how many doctors I had already seen who had it all wrong. Dr. Silva not only helped me finally obtain a proper diagnosis, but he literally gave me my life back.

“Quality results”
I have experienced profound results in the treatment of both my knees with PRP and Stem Cell injections. I could barely climb flights of stairs without 6/10 pain, a real scare when you're in your 30s! Now I can hike and workout without any noticeable pain. Thank you for your care! Highly recommend Dr. Silva and his competent team.

“Amazing experience! My knees went from extreme arthritis from so many years of extreme athletics to 100% pain free with one treatment.”
Dr. Silva is very knowledgeable on the latest in sports therapy (I am a veterinarian so I know quite a bit about joints), He did a comprehensive informative exam and took his time to explain everything about the treatment and what to expect. He was very professional and kind. I couldn't ask for a better doctor and a better result.

“Best experience with a doctor I have ever had”
I was having neck pain, headaches everyday and low back pain when I came into see Dr. Silva. I was training for a marathon and was having low back pain after my long runs. Since having my low back treatment I have not had any other issues during my training.
Dr. Silva is a very kind, attentive and easy to talk to. He actually listens to what you have to say, does not rush you and gives you all of his attention. I did not feel rushed during my visit and felt like he actually cared about me as a person and that I was not just another number. Since my treatment my headaches have disappeard and my low back pain is gone!

“Finally got relief for thumb pain due to arthritis in my CMC joint!”
My thumb has been bothering me for years and it seemed to only get worse. I tried a splint, some pain meds, steroid injections and a gel-type injection but nothing helped. Dr. Silva explained that there were a few different things he could do to help. The first injection didnt help but a few days, but the second injection completely resolved my pain and its been about 6 months with only occasional mild discomfort. Finally I can use my hands again wihtout even thinking about it. Thanks Dr. Silva!

“Very pleased with the level of technical expertise & communication”
I was introduced to Dr. Silva via recommendation from a musculoskeletal specialist. My work with Dr. Silva has resembled a “restoration project,” with separate treatments to different areas over 14 months. He has (or is) treating a 25+ year old impact & twisting injury to a foot/ankle; knee issues related to osteoarthritis & improper tracking; and persistent back pain arising from several sources, including a painful annular (disc) tear.
Our most recent work involved injections into a bone (foot) and a disc in my back. This work involved more inherent risk so greater discussion in advance. Dr. Silva responded to my questions with patience and options. His treatment plan was tailored to my needs and his team was on top of everything. Their work was performed with as much focus and attention to detail as it was with kindness and compassion.
From the “patient perspective,” there is not a single part of my experience at I.O.W. that they could have managed better.

“Pain Relief Finally Achieved!”
From the get-go, I was impressed with Dr. Silva and his staff. Friendly and competent, I knew I was in good hands the second I walked in the door. Dr. Silva is not only extremely fantastic in his knowledge of the human body and the procedures he specializes in, he is so thorough in explaining what was going on with my neck, knee, and foot, using 3D models and pointing out on my x-rays where the trouble was occurring and why. He made what could have been a scary appointment fun and interesting! Of course, people can work themselves up before a procedure, and I certainly fall in that category. I have to say that I was more comfortable during the prp procedure than I expected, and it was not at all bad, truth be told. My recovery was a breeze and each day, the pain I had experienced for 2 plus years melted away little by little. In fact, It's been 9 weeks since getting the prp procedure, and I can say with complete confidence & relief that I experience zero pain! Pain free is a blessing!
