I came to the appointment with a pre-printed one page document that organized my questions about my condition, the test results, treatment options, and next steps. The physician took one look at my piece of paper, tossed it under the table and didn't reference it at all.. His first question to me was so your right hip is hurting you. What are you doing to fix it. To which I replied well, I'm coming to see you so I know what I can and cannot do. The first question on my paper was why did this happen to me because I have not had an eight trauma and yet I have that partial tear. To that question he replied well how old are you? To which I replied well, I'm 70. Which of course, was on my record. To which he replied well that's what happens at your age. [...]
