The doctor dismissed my perspective of the gut-skin axis and told me whatever I seen on TikTok is information to sell a product. She wasn't open to discussing my own research and why I felt we should try another approach to my daughter's condition. Her response for my requests was that my daughter's symptoms are not severe enough to justify ordering the tests I requested and that insurance would t cover it. Didn't even ask if it was a cost I was willing to cover myself. So basically my daughter needs to be covered in scales to justify ordering different tests. I'm trying to be proactive in my daughters care to not let her get to that point. I will most likely be taking my daughter elsewhere in future concerns.
