Care providers knowledge and bedside manner is excellent. Communication and notes from previous surgeries or dermatologist at UCSF is poor. Also while in office, the care is good but little or no care for follow up or questions is available other than making another appointment.

Dr. Ortiz is one of the best providers I've seen at UCSF - or anywhere. She's knowledgeable and professional plus has a very kind and empathetic manner. Also, I appreciate that she shares recent research and treatment information without overwhelming me with a large amount of information that doesn't apply to my case. This most recent visit, I was especially tired/overwhelmed with life circumstances and I left the appointment feeling truly cared for. That doesn't always happen with providers with her level of expertise. I didn't know how she does it.
