“I am between providers. When I m...”

I am between providers. When I mentioned that these were things my previous provider recommended, the NP argued with me and asked why I would need this when others need that. She did not seem to be able to understand that X is what the previous provider said I needed. I either needed a pathway for that to be done OR I needed an alternate path. Either way, I just needed care until my first appointment with my new provider. I left feeling horrible. All I was trying to do was get medical care, and I was willing to listen to and change previous plans. I can only say what was previously explained to me, I have now considered or ruled out options that have not previously been suggested.
