I was uncomfortable in the cast. Dr Overman offered an alternative that would fit my injury and explained the splint to my understanding and acceptance. She also reassured me I could be re-cast if I was uncomfortable. Turns out the splint has been a perfect solution.

“Came for second opinion 8 months...”

Came for second opinion 8 months post tendon transfer surgery at Twin Cities Ortho with tightness of surgical ring finger. TCO not addressing my concerns. Dr. Overman went over all concerns, and even noted I was using my upper arm/shoulder to compensate for the decreased rom from my wrist arthritis (which TCO never treated). She offered diagnostic ultrasound of the hand, ultrasound guided injection of my wrist, and therapies focusing on stretching. I learned more about my care and treatment at TCO from Dr Overman reading clinic notes than from my TCO Surgeon during clinic visits. Excellent communication, she listened, and put a thorough plan of action in place.
