Upon moving to Mt. Prospect, my wife and I were in desperate of a good dentist. Our expectations were exceeded by finding Dr. Kakos. We were each provided with thorough consultations and treatment plans, and it was obvious Dr. Kakos is extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented. My wife soon got two new crowns which were the best dental work either of us had ever seen. Also, Terry is the best hygienist ever! We used this dentist for the past 7 years and we only stayed because we loved our dental hygenist who has moved out of state. Every procedure I have had done and my husband has had done we have needed to go back in for corrections. They recommend unnecessary procedures and are constantly overcharging us when we leave. The amount of money I have never been refunded is incredible. I would never recommend this practice to friends or family we should have left a long time ago.

I've been going to Dr. Kakos for many years and he is an excellent dentist. I recently came back from FL after 2 years and recently came back to IL. I had seen 3 other dentists in FL and after spending over $30,000 on my teeth, none of the other dentists caught the real underlying issue with my teeth. Within a week of coming back to IL I went straight to Dr. Kakos because I knew there was still something not right despite the work and treatment plan the FL dentists did. I was correct, after seeing Dr. Kakos one time, he was spot on as to what needed to be done (keeping in mind he was my dentist may years prior to moving to FL). He knew my teeth and has always been able to stay on top of my many issues with my teeth. If I decide to move back to FL, I will fly back to IL just to see him. I don't trust any other dentist. I love his sincere care of me as a person and over the years he has always had the right prognosis and next steps as it relates to my teeth. I can't say enough things about Dr. Kakos!!!

Dr. Kakos is an outstanding professional whose education in implants, one hour crowns, etc. and his obvious caring personality for each and every patient, make for a most remarkable experience in dentistry. Today he removed a broken crown, and through his ultramodern technology, created a new crown which was perfectly fitted. It was all quite amazing! Office and dental staff are friendly, also caring, and well versed in their profession. I don't think there's any dental facility quite like this one!

I was with my previous dentist for over 20 years and I'm very selective. Dr Kakos exceeded all of my expectations. Almost every tooth in my mouth is crowned, veneered, or inlayed. Some of my restorations are 20 years old and need replacement. Dr Kakos replaced two of my crowns and an inlay with no pain and minimal discomfort. He and his staff are professional and friendly.

I'm 63, and this dentist is the most talented, personable, efficient and cost-effective that I have ever had, and I've had some fine dentists. Money spent here is worth every dime. This is the Dentist that I imagine the other Dentists go to when THEY need dental work. Kathy, Kera and the staff are very nice people and they're all professionals. It's only been a little over 24 hours since Dr. Kakos pulled my upper teeth and gave me my new, first set of dentures and I'm so happy with the results! The team that consisted of Nora, Bonnie and Nicki, were terrific! They helped me pick out the best color of dentures for me and assisted with the procedure! DO NOT GET DENTAL WORK DONE HERE! If i could give 0 stars, I would. I paid over $40K for my dental work and had almost all of my teeth crowned. In the two years since the work has been finished, 4 of my crowns have fallen off (one of which has fallen off three different times), 2 have chipped and one has cracked. All of this despite my following every instruction given to me. I have not eaten anything or bitten into anything that would be able to cause this, avoided apples, hard candy, gum, ect., and brush my teeth twice daily with the toothbrush they provided to me. Despite this, I continue to have nothing but pain and issues that are costing me thousands more dollars to fix. Each time I have had an issue, the answer from them has always been that it must somehow be my fault and it couldn't possibly be that he did anything wrong. I know numerous people who have had crowns for a significantly longer time without them ever simply falling out while eating like a normal person. Dr. Kakos was pretentious and rude and treated me like a child throughout the entire experience not to mention having made multiple promises that he then conveniently "forgot" and refused to follow through on. The office staff and hygienists are very nice and kind but it does not make up for the poor quality work and terrible attitude/service provided by the doctor himself. I wish I had gone anywhere but here. To their credit, they have offered to fix things for free each time something has gone wrong, but it is difficult to feel confident in going back to an office to fix something when it doesn't stay fixed. I can't justify continuing to return to the office when I have no faith in the quality of the work and do not believe that it will actually make a difference. I can not stress enough to avoid going here if you value your teeth, time and money.

I really enjoy the care and attention to detail. Normally my past dentist experiences have not gone well with other doctors which has caused me to delay treatment and not going. But I do not feel that way at all with Dr Kakos. He makes it a pleasant experience and not so scary for those of us who dread the dentist.
