Before surgery, he greeted me and my mother with a big smile that really put her at ease. I looked up every doctor on staff at Carolina's Medical Centers and the Novant system and he was the only one I found with double board certification, both surgery and plastic surgery. He did his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, that said a lot about how other clinicians viewed his talent, to be accepted into their prestigious program. He had not just started his practice, begun in 2012, yet was schooled in "current" best practices. His license to practice was clean and he had no record of malpractice settlements. For these reasons I made an appointment to meet him. During my first visit, his nurse had actually read my medical history before coming into the room. That indicated to me that he has also surrounded himself with competent staff. He has EXCELLENT interpersonal skills and has never made me feel like he had one foot out the door, encouraging questions and discussion. Finding a Phys was a little scary because I really didn't know where to go to even start. Then Natrelle had the answer to every prayer, listed right there. FPS. And Dr Lawson was put in my path and the rest is history. He cared he cares and he completely reworked my anatomy in that area to what it should have been all along. I cannot say enough or give enough praise. Caring staff, diligent. Concerned about your concerns and actually listen to them. Sarah knew i didn't like the pain meds, she called me to check on me and gave me her cell number for the weekend if i needed her at all! Who does that? FPS that's who. Dr George Lawson is my hero. He took a situation that had me upside down and fixed it all! I love this practice. PS I am a licensed health agent in NC. I will NEVER recommend any other practice or Dr.
