He let me tell my whole story, uninterrupted, and then repeated it back to me to make sure he understood BEFORE he asked any other questions. He explained in detail everything that he thought, reasons he was ordering certain things, and gave me choices about what to pursue after weighing all the options. I never felt rushed.
