“Dr Duarte helped my daughter fee...”

Dr Duarte helped my daughter feel comfortable during her appointment. He listened to what she was describing and interacted with her first and myself (Mom) second which is what we prefer. He was gentle during the exam knowing she was in pain, and explained in good terms for my preteen why he was recommending what he did. She left feeling confident.

Patient was brought in for Constipation. Provider only looked at rectum when prompted by mother. Provider didn't listen to bowel sounds, only asked if patient had passed gas. Mother unsure if gas had been passed. Provider seemed pleased with palpating the stomach as the only method of assessment. An xray was ordered, the provider stated they would call with results and didn't call. Mother called the nurse line and was told they are unable to confirm if results are urgent or not and would have to wait until the next day. Received a call the next day from a nurse not a provider. Rushed and no follow through.
