Although I do not participate on insurance provider panels, I am happy to provide you with a receipt which will contain the information typically needed for reimbursement from some insurance companies. Some clients will receive a portion of psychotherapy fees reimbursed to them from their insurance companies. Many clients will not receive any reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to see if they will reimburse you directly for all or part of the cost for out of network mental health benefits. The following are a sample of questions you may want to ask your insurance company.
?Is psychotherapy with a licensed psychologist covered under my plan?
Do I have out of network benefits?
What is my percentage of coverage?
Do I need any pre-authorization for treatment?
If yes, how many sessions are authorized before a treatment plan is required?

PRIVACY:
By not participating on insurance panels, I am not required to keep electronic records. Given all the concerns over hacking and disclosure of private information, I have chosen to write and maintain my records in paper form. Millions of people have seen psychotherapists and used their insurance to pay for services. The vast majority have noticed no change in their insurability, or health insurance premiums, or had their personal information exposed as a result. However, such occurrences are possible.
