Austin Kirschner is perhaps the best physician I've met in my life. He responded personally to my questions and beyond prompt. Furthermore most physicians underplay the side effects of treatment. Austin was dead on and completely honest. The treatment was incredible. He went to Lebanon to implant my fiducials to put me under because I didn't want a local and he did it on the same day I was going to have it done in his office so that my treatment wasn't delayed. I cannot say enough good about him. An exceptional physician.

I never felt that Dr. Kirschner or anyone on his staff was rushing through my appointmtent. I knew I had their full attention, and they demonstrated a genuine interest in clearly and thoroughly answering all of my questions. Dr. Kirschner (and his resident doctor) both gave me a great deal of time and addressed my questions thoughtfully and very clearly. I've met with several doctors about my various options for cancer treatment, but no one made me feel as comfortable about my ultimate treatment decision than Dr. Kirschner. He took the time to discuss all of my treatment options with me (surgery, radiation and other). He answered questions more clearly than anyone else and never demonstrated a bias toward one treatment option or another. He wasn't "selling" one option over another. We just discussed advantages and disadvantages of all of them for my specific case. I was already leaning towards SBRT but with a couple of reservations. In the end, I not only felt comfortable about SBRT, but had confidence that Dr. Kirschner and his staff were goint to work as a team to deliver the best treatment experience possible. And they demonstrated exactly that throughout my first procedure for fiducial markers and gel spacer.
