It was absolutely wonderful. I had a lot of fear, I was afraid to do it. But it wasn't bad at all. I expected it to be really weird. I started very anxious, but It was relaxing. The surgery went well. It was wonderful. It went better than expected. After a day or two I could see more clearly. My eyelids were out of the way and I didn't have any pain at all. It was very unexpected, I thought it would have been painful, but I had no pain.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mahootchi's for more than ten years. I have glaucoma and did have type 2 diabetes . I have had crystal lens replacement (life-changing and awesome), two vitrectomies, procedures to reduce pressure, and Iris repair following retinal surgery by a wonderful colleague of Dr. Mahootchi's. I trust him implicitly. He always clearly explains what he is doing and why. He and his staff are professional and very caring. There is no one else I would trust with my eyes.

i came in with wet macular degeneration seeing 20/50 in my right eye. i have had 3 avastin injections and laser. i am now seeing 20/25. Dr. Mahootchi is a wonderful doctor and very skillful at his job. I am very pleased.
