I thought I was coming for a consultation re: the findings of the heart monitor; I had not been prepared that the consultation was to talk about implanting a pacemaker. I heard very little detail about what was found and its significance; just that it had skipped a beat and I was susceptible to sudden death. The procedure, options, and post op were clearly explained. The bottom line is that I was not previously prepared for the news I needed to see Dr. Sharma for a pacemaker and got less diagnostic information of monitor findings than I needed.
