“To give her the benefit of the d...”

To give her the benefit of the doubt, I believe that she was not up to date on the research and was in conflict with the care guidelines that she follows. I seemed to know more about the options and emerging recommendations that she did. I was hoping to be able to have a conversation with someone who could help me process the recommendations and partner with me in decision-making. Rather she wanted to refer me to a specialist.
