“Cooke's 'laid back' demeanor is ...”
Cooke's 'laid back' demeanor is a lovely surprise, given surgeon's typical personality. He is not really laid back, but his patient approach is very helpful ... Especially for a patient who 'knows too much' and a little worried about this particular injury (both from previous surgeries, as well as being a researcher who has actually published about knee loads with and without meniscectomy). He also 'sees' the patient, i.e. He readily discerned my athletic history and abilities not fitting the gaussian (so to speak). Once we are through the right knee, I do look forward to chatting more about left knee - unfortunately the day to day pain there is greater. Again, I do appreciate him using his professional judgment to coach me that we should take 1 knee at a time.
