Dr. Birkholz is thorough, patient, and has an excellent bedside manner. His active listening techniques are exemplified through positive body language, asking clarification questions to ensure he is understanding me correctly and refraining from multitasking (when possible). I urge leadership to ensure Dr. B is in the position to teach other new physicians/residents how to positively impact patient interactions through active listening. My visits to see Dr. B, while infrequent, are meaningful enough for me to take the time to fill out this survey!
