“This was a yearly check-up. Doc ...”
This was a yearly check-up. Doc wanted to put her on meds for her "low functioning heart". We had no idea what she was talking about because when we were there last year, we were told she was doing good! She'd had no testing since then and no problems. I didn't understand how last year was "you are ok" and this year was "you need meds" when she had nothing to base that change on. She didn't explain what "low functioning heart" meant and when I asked about it, she just said "Well, her's is 50 and we want it to be at least 55" or something like that. Her WHAT? No explanation. We said no to meds. She put in orders for a heart ultrasound and scheduled a 6 month follow-up. We plan to find a new cardiologist.
