Our doctor was amazing. Her staff came in with small gifts and offered snacks. This made a world of difference to ease the stress of what the appointment was for. Whew. The doctor sets a great tone for the office and we loved our experience. She listened and asked questions, and took the time to really delve into providing care.

Dr. Laborde is an exceptional provider. She is kind, thoughtful, extremely knowledgeable about the cancer journey generally as well as specifically related to our child, and she injects appropriate joyfulness (for a cancer kid) into her interactions. We are thrilled with the care from her and so greatly appreciate the careful, direct, communication to us as a family experiencing childhood cancer.

Dr Laborde is an excellent listener and has an excellent bedside manner. She involves the parents in the care of the child but treats the child directly -- looking at the child and acting as though the child is the most important one in the room. Great balance of being aware that the parents make or heavily influence the child's decision. She is straightforward and honest, balancing truth of challenging situations with hopeful treatment plans. We could not have asked for a better fit for our family. She's amazing and should train future pediatric oncologists!!!
