Accepted Insurance
Accepted Insurance
I do not accept Health Insurance because I do not diagnose or provide "treatment" for mental health "disorders. ". I work with people to help them improve their ability to cope with life problems and to improve related coping skills - Boundary Maintenance and Emotional Needs-Meeting Skills, for example. I work with Couples to help with Conflict Resolution and Negotiation among other things. Health Insurance pays for treatment of illness. The clients I work with are not "sick" per se. These interventions are not covered by Health Insurance. I do not contract with Insurance Companies or serve on their Managed Mental Healthcare Panels any more.
