“Review of my initial visit with ...”

Review of my initial visit with Dr. Tandon to establish new management and clarification of my cardiac condition. I appreciate that Dr.Tandon familiarized herself with my pertinent medical records from another hospital system via MyChart prior to the visit so that conversation was face to face. She seemed respectful of my concerns, opinions and descriptions of my undocumented cardiac episodes. Dr.Tandon's questions, recommendations, and shared decision-making demonstrated skillful critical thinking to provide what I believe was the right plan of action. Doctor did not show impatience with my somewhat tangential style of verbal communication and occasional difficulty recalling details and words. Following visit, doctor directed me to staff who reviewed a several page document with instructions for same day lab work and the diagnostic to be scheduled, and other helpful info and reminders. I have never encountered a nurse or Medical Assistant to go over everything right after an office visit. For any age person, the written visit summary with vital signs, instructions, orders and what to do if have problems is just plain smart. More detailed documentation of visit was available next business day in MyChart including Clinical Notes, Visit Summary, and Test Results.I feel relieved, confident, and optimistic about my cardiac management with Dr.Tandon.
