“After greeting me he said he was...”
After greeting me he said he wasn't sure why I was even seeing him. I said because I had been hospitalized twice in the last 6 months for vomiting blood and bloody diarrhea and he said he read that in my chart but nothing was found. I said they did find erosions in the duodenum and he said there was no active bleeding just clots. He said he usually sees pts with hemoglobin a lot lower than mine. I felt like my situation wasn't important enough to see him and he told me to just stay on the protonix. I had concerns because I have read they can have long term effects on women's bones and he dismissed that telling me to not believe everything I read. I brought a supplement for him to look at and he wouldn't telling me to just stay on the pill. I had a lot of questions that I didn't even ask because he was impatient. His answer was to just stay on the protonix rather than try and find the root of the problem. I have never had a provider make me feel like my issue wasn't important enough and made me feel like I was wasting his time.
