“Clinical Supervision”
Elizabeth Janssen was my clinical supervisor for 4.5 years and I learned so much working with her. I truly appreciated her teaching style; compassionate, wise, and "right there with me," as well as honest and direct. I trusted working with Liz. She is well-read, researched, and trained as a therapist and supervisor. Liz was particularly helpful in guiding me to work with my own "activation" and "triggers" that would come up in sessions with clients (counter-transference); teaching me how to work

Liz Janssen is an incredibly bright, curious, and compassionate therapist. She helped me to identify my goals and see what my challenges were. She taught me valuable skills to help manage my anxiety and panic and keep me emotionally regulated. Her calm demeanor was comforting and I looked forward to each session despite the difficult work we were doing. I achieved my targeted goals and feel incredibly well armed to face new challenges. I highly recommend anyone seeking help to call her!!!!

Elizabeth Janssen was a kind, caring, and attentive therapist. She was methodical in understanding family systems, and pointing out patterns of behavior. She offered suggestions and tools for managing anxiety, depression, and life stuff. She was a nonjudgmental and incredibly thoughtful listener.

I had been through years of traditional therapy following a very challenging and complicated childhood. I thought I was doing well, until I realized that I was not. I researched EMDR, and reached out to a few practitioners; Liz was, by far, the person I knew could help me. She went out of her way to thoroughly explain the process, the science of the results, and, most of all, I trusted her immediately. After Liz, I no longer had that memory monster triggering my PTSD. Liz changed everything.

Anxiety and a lack of confidence in the workplace and personal relationships were why I chose to go therapy. Elizabeth was able to give me the tools to cope with my anxiety, eventually giving me the confidence that I needed to improve my life. My relationships became healthier and my interactions at work improved. At work I spoke more productively, enjoyed the job more, and didn't give authority figures more respect than they deserved. Hard work and therapy got me to my improved state.
