Thankfully, we were able to get a telehealth appointment almost immediately after calling the office as a first time patient. I came to Dr. Marcus and within the first seconds of our appointment, he assured me that the goal was to help me. "How can we help you". He listened and learned about me and validated how I was feelings, assuring me that I would not have any issues with getting my medication. I was really worried, and now I'm really grateful. I've had too many psychiatrists who seem to have an agenda that is not in harmony with my own personal experience. Or who are too concerned about covering their own derrieres to actually be willing to provide me with the help that I need. I admit that I can be a difficult patient. Not because I am a difficult person, but because I have treatment-resistant depression, which is difficult to treat, and my experience with virtually every antidepressant I have ever tried has been bad. Dr. Marcus seems willing to work with me on this in a manner that doesn't leave me in terror that more awful antidepressants are going to be pressured upon me in a way that would likely cause me great suffering, as has been the case in the past.

He was very thorough in taking my presenting problem and going over my medication and family history. I was very impressed and I will continue working with him. on my medications. From our very first appointment Dr. Michael Marcus was extremely realistic, straightforward, and correct with an understanding of not only my diagnosis but individual needs. If you want a doctor to "yes man" you to death, you should look elsewhere. He is prompt, on point, and willing to treat you as an individual between what he believes you while considering what you want. This guy is my favorite Dr. already as he set up an open line of no nonsense communication and was happy to come to a mutual agreed upon treatment plan tailored to my needs as patient whom is in a managerial position and starting a small business. 10/10 from me. I sincerely thank you, Dr. Marcus!!!

Dr. Marcus gets right to the point and usually I am able to get in and out in 20 minutes which for me is great. However, if I need to talk to him for longer he is available. Dr.Marcus has been a lifesaver for me. I used to come to him in 2004 and he was amazing and took his time with me. I had some substance abuse and went to rehab. When I came back I saw many psychiatrists. Then went on Suboxone and Dr. Marcus was able to help me get off all drugs. I am highly motivated and every time I see him, he let's me know that I am looking better and he can always tell when I am in a hard situation or spot. However I have been doing so much better with his help along with my my family and friends. I highly recamend Dr. Marcus. I have been with him for many years and he tells you like it is and he know when someone is drug seeking.

I'm just chiming in because I thought it would be beneficial to let some people know how I think I just got lucky when I chose my psychiatrist, Dr. Michael Marcus. There's certainly no guarantee that everyone will benefit from his treatment as much as I have, but I do know two indisputable facts: he truly is a brilliant man, and I've had a happy life for 15 years as a direct result of being under his care.

He also, apparently has a scam going with a colleague whom he insists that patients see if they are seeing him and then collects fees for her. He is by far the most uncaring MD that I have ever met and I hope that you do not have the misfortune of meeting him.
