I am a 75 year old men and his work will enable me to continue routine movement for the rest of my life. He was honest and told me exactly what he had to do to fix my arm. I liked that he didn’t sugar coat anything. He asked me about my history of having surgeries, if I was allergic to any medicine. He also had me go to my general practitioner and my ent doctor to make sure I was healthy enough for surgery.

Dr Manke previously performed a "cleanup" of my left shoulder that, with physical therapy, is good as new. In 12/22 he performed a right shoulder cleanup that revealed a bone on bone situation. On 2/15/2023 he replaced the right shoulder. With therapy this replacement is still painful at 13 weeks as expected. However, I have regained almost full range of motion and have progressed rapidly with strength building. Performing bicep curls with 17.5lbs and bench presses with 20lbs at a 60° incline. The speed of recovery is amazing and I expect full strength and mobility sooner than the standard 1 year period. Dr Manke has my full faith and confidence.

I waited 45 min for my appointment. I got steroid shots in both thumbs and am hoping it brings me relief. It’s very difficult to get in with Dr Manke so I brought that up and he just said he’s very busy and there’s no fast track to getting an appointment to see him…I waited about 2 months for this appointment! I also brought up that one of his scheduling secretaries Rachel was quite rude and condescending when I called to schedule. Ending with I don’t know what to tell ya! I’ve been a patient at this practice since the 90’s when Dr Budorick did back surgery on me and would like to stay but the difficulty of getting seen when I need it is very difficult!

The Physical therapy team was one of the best I’ve seen and would not let me take short cuts, which actually allowed for a more full range of motion by the end. There was a sense of caring and humor all around. Great experience!

I saw 2 orthopedic doctors before him for this and I was quickly losing faith in medicine because they were extremely rude and one even went out of their way to cause more pain intentionally and accused me for being on her schedule when I was referred to her by my primary care. Dr. Manke walked into the room smiling, listened to what happened, actually had a conversation with myself and my husband and understood what we were dealing with. For the first time I felt hope! Four months later I have fully healed and I’m so incredibly grateful to Dr Manke for not only his help but his patience and caring.

Over the course of 7 years, I have had 3 different surgeries done by Dr Manke. He has always thoroughly explained what was needed to be done (all severe arthritis changes) and left me to decide when I wanted surgery. And when I had the surgeries, each one was successfully performed leaving me eventually totally pain free with complete use of the shoulder, wrist, hand. I highly recommend him.

Dr Manke had his PA Tracy help me and she was very responsive. The shot she gave me has reduced my pain but it may take longer for the shot to hopefully eliminate the pain.
