Dr. Shafipour is a board certified Family Medicine specialist, with additional training and specialization in a field of Bariatric or Obesity Medicine. Dr. Shafipour offers efficient and \ and personable primary care medicine as well as nutrition, integrative medicine and weight loss counseling. He sees patients ages 13 and up for regular check ups, sick visits or management of chronic diseases. He evaluates each patient individually and tailors a treatment program that encompasses the patient's active medical, hormonal, behavioral and exercise needs and shortcomings.

During his residency training he developed an interest in treating chronic conditions that arise from obesity like diabetes and high blood pressure. He further pursued his passion in obesity treatment by undergoing extensive training by the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and The prestigious Harvard Obesity Courses, and was able to become board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He has developed a weight loss program that not only focuses on healthy loss of weight but more on recognizing and eliminating the behaviors that have caused excessive gain. This program causes weight loss and maintenance of a healthy weight through a multi-level personalized approach of dietary transformation as well as behavioral change.

He treats all his patients like family members and ensures they are seen in a timely fashion and leave the office with a clear treatment plan. In his leisure time, Dr. Shafipour enjoys hiking, outdoor adventures, reading, and spending quality time with his wife and children.
